1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Showleafy app and its related support pages. Showleafy is currently operated by an individual developer. If you have privacy-related questions, please contact support@showleafy.com.

2. Developer and Contact Information

Showleafy is currently operated by an individual developer. The developer name shown on the App Store will match the legal name registered in the Apple Developer account. You may contact support@showleafy.com for privacy, support, purchase, or restore-purchase related matters.

3. Current Product Model

At the current stage, Showleafy is designed as a local-first app. It does not currently provide an account system, cloud sync, or cross-device online account services. Your notes are primarily stored on your own device.

4. Information We May Process

At this stage, we may process the following categories of information:

  • Contact information and issue descriptions that you voluntarily send to the support mailbox
  • Screenshots, logs, or order details that you voluntarily provide for troubleshooting
  • Necessary order and entitlement-related information for purchases and restore purchases
  • When you actively import an image or export an image to the system photo library, the app may access the image you selected or request permission to write exported content to the system photo library; this processing occurs locally on your device by default

5. Content We Do Not Upload to Our Own Servers by Default

As of the date of this policy, the following content is not uploaded to our own servers by default:

  • Notes, handwritten content, images, and stickers that you create inside the app
  • End-user account profiles or cloud sync data
  • Personal information collected for advertising targeting purposes

We only come into contact with parts of that content if you voluntarily send screenshots, logs, or other materials to us through support channels.

6. Purposes and Legal Bases

The information above is used only for the following purposes:

  • Responding to support requests
  • Troubleshooting app issues and improving the product experience
  • Handling purchases, restore purchases, and related inquiries
  • Complying with applicable legal or platform obligations

Where required by applicable law, the legal bases for processing may include:

  • Performance of support, purchase handling, restore purchase handling, or other services that you actively request
  • Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, platform rules, and accounting, tax, or dispute-resolution obligations
  • Your consent, for example when you voluntarily send emails, submit screenshots or logs, or actively import or export images
  • Legitimate interests in maintaining product security, handling disputes, preventing abuse, and improving support, provided those interests do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms

7. Third-Party Services and Cross-Border Transfers

At this stage, some information may be handled through the following third-party infrastructure:

  • Apple: for app distribution, in-app purchases, restore purchases, and related platform capabilities
  • GitHub Pages: for hosting the public website, support page, and privacy policy page
  • Email service providers: for receiving and storing messages sent to the support mailbox

The current version does not perform cross-app tracking, does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs, and does not integrate third-party analytics SDKs.

Because the public website is hosted by GitHub Pages, app distribution, purchases, and restore purchases rely on Apple, and support communication relies on email service providers, limited technical information related to support emails, order information, or website access may be stored on servers outside mainland China or transmitted and processed outside mainland China.

Where cross-border transfer or overseas storage occurs, we aim to limit it to the minimum scope necessary for app distribution, purchase restoration, support communication, website hosting, or compliance with legal obligations, and we rely as much as possible on the relevant service providers' security measures to protect that information.

Except where necessary to handle your support request, satisfy Apple platform order verification requirements, or comply with legal obligations, we do not proactively disclose information you provide through support channels to unrelated third parties.

8. Retention and Deletion

Support emails, screenshots, logs, and related communication records are generally retained for no more than 180 days after the issue is resolved, so that we can follow up on repeated issues, handle purchase disputes, or comply with necessary legal obligations.

If you want information that you voluntarily submitted through support channels to be deleted earlier, you can email support@showleafy.com. To the extent allowed by applicable law and without affecting dispute handling, legal obligations, or abuse prevention, we will process your request as soon as reasonably practicable.

9. Your Rights and Request Timeline

If you have questions about how personal information is processed, or if you would like to request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, or an explanation of information you submitted through support channels, you may email support@showleafy.com.

Please send your request from an email address that can receive replies and include the subject line “Privacy Request”. To verify identity and locate relevant records, we may ask for additional information that is directly related to the request.

We generally aim to respond within 15 business days after receiving the request and completing necessary identity verification. If a request is unusually complex, involves a large number of records, or applicable law permits an extension, the processing time may be longer, but we will notify you of progress within a reasonable period.

10. Children

If you are a minor, please use Showleafy only after your parent or legal guardian understands and agrees to this Privacy Policy, and ask your parent or legal guardian to help contact us when necessary.

11. Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated as Showleafy later introduces features such as a template marketplace, account management, or cloud-related capabilities. The latest version will be published on this page.
